Credit Hour Requirements To Renew Technician Certification

According to the Illinois Structural Pest Control Act, a certified technician’s certificate is valid for 3 years. During that three-year period, you must attend a minimum of 9 classroom hours, in increments of 3 hours or more, of Department approved pest control training seminars.
 

How To Check Current Credit Hours Earned:

For Illinois techs/applicator to check their current credit hours they should go to the program website (link below) and click on ‘Pest Control Business Search’ on the right side under ‘RESOURCES’. They must work under a Licensed pest control business, so they should type-in their ‘Business License ID’, the 051- number. When the business name appears, they click on the business name, their name, license number and expiration, credit hours and certificate categories should be revealed.
